Woolfest

After much discussion of ideas and consideration of new venues and available dates, members of The Wool Clip have decided that there will not be a Woolfest 2022, neither live nor online.

A tough decision and there are fuller details under News.

The Original
British Festival of Wool

Woolfest was founded by members of The Wool Clip cooperative to provide a celebration of natural fibres and a showcase for the best of wool and wool crafts. It is all about creativity and design with beautiful quality, amazing colours, skilled craftsmanship and a huge enthusiasm for all things wool related.

Woolfest has always been a great day out and was recognised as the Cumbria Tourism Event of the Year in 2012. Woolfest went online in 2020 in response to the pandemic restrictions and attracted more than 4,000 online visitors.

Thank you for finding us and welcome to the Woolfest website.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to Woolfest online events that were organised to replace our usual Cockermouth gathering during the pandemic. We reached over 6000 people in 2021 but will be taking a year's break in 2022 to re-group, refresh and plan.

Over the years, our visitors, volunteers, stallholders and everyone involved have all played an amazing part in creating a unique event. Our hope for you all is that you stay safe, stay well and bear with us as we plan to refresh the event for the future.  Two things will NOT change - our focus on bringing value to wool and our determination to present a friendly and high-quality event.
