Food, Drink and Refreshments at Woolfest

Charity Project

Regular visitors to Woolfest at Cockermouth know that we like to support local or wool-related charity projects by creating links and enabling our visitors to contribute in some way. This year is no different.

We're supporting a group of crafters based at Egremont in West Cumbria as they rise to the challenge of collecting knitted and crocheted scarves for the homeless. That in itself would be great but they're aiming to collect sufficient length of scarves to complete the 70+ miles of the Cumbria Way!

The Cumbria Way Homeless Scarf Challenge has a Group on Facebook that you're encouraged to join and The Wool Clip shop at Caldbeck is a collection point for finished scarves if you and your friends and family would like to get knitting or crocheting.

We're hoping to post updates as Woolfest and the end of the Cumbria Way approach!
