July 2022: "It feels like the end of an era."

Recently we have been asked about what is happening for Woolfest 2022.
The short answer is that we haven't decided yet, but the long answer is much more complex and flavourful. Like a well-matured cheese or a nice bottle of wine.
Nobody knows Woolfest like the members of The Wool Clip co-operative (organisers of the event since conception in 2004) and we have come to the understanding that it is time to re-invent, re-design and re-imagine the current Woolfest format. This is a huge undertaking, involving consideration for the health, safety and welfare of our stallholders and visitors as well as resources and sustainability both now and in the future.
So, no decisions have yet been taken on format, venue or dates - although you'll see our usual last Friday and Saturday in June appearing occasionally but not confirmed.
We are still busily and carefully exploring our options and ideas. We are sorry that we can't be more definite just yet. We are aware that Woolfest has been an important route to customers for many wool-related businesses and we want to make sure we get everything right so that we can continue to uphold the ethos of Woolfest - adding value to wool and presenting a friendly and high-quality event.
We will let you know as soon as possible. Watch out for each other and watch this space.
